The 2023 Ladies Quadrilateral was held on Tuesday 23 May at Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club. This competition is played between Salisbury & South Wilts, Marlborough, New Forest and Royal Winchester Golf Clubs, all of which were founded in 1888. This prestigious trophy was keenly contested with teams of 10 representing their Clubs.

Thank you to all competitors for coming along to play in our Mixed Open - I hope you had a great day even if the golf didn't turn out quite the way you hoped. The main thing is to have a good day in good company at a good venue. Remember that there can only be one winner and that fact brings everyone else together as 'non-winners'. Congratulations to the prize-winners, and to Sheila and Mike Rehorn on their 57th Wedding Anniversary today (and still playing in Mixed Opens together!). Thank you to everyone involved in running the day and to everyone who supported the Charity Raffle - nearly £150 goes to the Salisbury Foodbank because of your generosity. A breezy and mostly sunny day greeted a full compliment of 24 teams for the 2023 Spring Open, travelling from as far away as Llanwern (Wales), Minchinhampton (Gloucestershire) and Ryde (Isle of Wight). Scoring was varied on a well presented course in the blustery conditions, but a good number of teams managed to score below 60 in the popular Texas Scramble format. The winning team hailed from Crane Valley Golf Club in Dorset who managed a net 56, winning on a back 9 countback from Solent Meads.

The 2022 edition of our Spring open was another sell out, with dry but cool early Spring conditions greeting competitors from as far afield as Llanwern, Wales. The texas scramble format proved to be popular, with some thought required due to the minimum tee shot requirement for each player. There was plenty of evidence of good planning as the scoring was very good. Please read the article to see who won what.
