Alternative Open Results 2017

Firstly, apologies from yours truly for getting the pars wrong on the scorecards distributed on the day.

I was so proud of them until that was spotted on Sunday morning  :(

After many hours of Bruce and me inputting the scores and sorting the pro scores,

I can finally anounce that the winner was Peter Toole who rode his luck in pulling out the

Chinese sensation of the last day and shot a solid 34 points.

Peter's final total was 63 minus 34 = 29.

John Marsden pipped dave waterman for 2nd place on accountof his own score of 37 points.

Got to feel a bit for Steve Allin (43 stableford points on the day) whose Pro let him down somewhat with a 74!

I ended up refunding the original £5 entry fee and charging the usual £3.50 Club Competition fee.

Notes made for smoother running next year!

A fine and breexy day greeted a diverse field for the 2017 Mixed Open at Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club.

The course was in excellent condition and the day was enjoyed by all who took part.

Home club member Howard George brought along his guest Kate Lush and won the home prize with 40 points,

while Jacqui Cawley and Adrian Dunning from Windlesham scooped the main prize with a very credible 42 points.
