Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club has 27 holes available. Originally founded in 1888 as a 9 hole course, there have been many changes over the years and having been redesigned in 1991 it now comprises the 18 hole Cathedral Course and the 9 hole Bibury Course established from part of the Old Course up until this time. Both these mature courses are maintained to a very high standard and are in excellent condition. The greens are recognised to be some of the best, and have been highly praised by visiting Professional Golfers including those from the European Tour.
The Cathedral Course 18 holes, 6485 yards, Par 71 Being Wiltshire’s premier golf course it is a must for any visiting golfer. Set in beautiful rolling countryside with stunning views, it is a challenge for all golfers no matter what the standard. South West Counties Championships and County Championships are regularly played here, with the Annual Pro-am Event also held on this course.
The Bibury Course 9 holes, 2738 yards, Par 34 This course has been developed from the Old Course and provides a good quality golf course for all golfers, as it is well established with mature greens. It is an easy walk for many, even though the course is at the top of a hill next door to Salisbury Race Course and has some of the best views on the course across the Wiltshire landscape towards Salisbury City. Whether you are just a novice, an improver, or regular golfer you will enjoy this golfing experience.
This course is open to members of the public as a “Pay as you Play” as well as to club members.
