Although a salisbury Scratch Open has been held at Salisbury & South
Wilts Golf Club in the past, the last one being 2008, it was decided
that a fresh new approach would be taken to attract scratch players
once again to this course.

As a result both ourselves and High Post Golf Club got together with
the Wiltshire County Golf Union and have agreed to run the inaugral
Salisbury City Scratch Open on Sunday 1st July 2012. 

The event will take place on this date at both Salisbury & South
Wilts AND High Post Golf Club. 

For 2012 the morning round will be held at South Wilts with the
afternoon at High Post.

Coffee will be supplied when competitiors arrive followed by a
two tee start. After the morning round lunch will be served at
South Wilts after which competitiors will then drive the 8 miles to
High Post for the afternoon two tee start.

After 36 holes of golf High Post will be hosting the evening meal and
the presentation of prizes.

Unfortunately we will have to limit the number of entrants to 60 and
should we receive more than 60 we will have to ballot out
competitiors according to their exact handicap.

All this for only £35 it is well worth tackling two excellent courses in
one day.

In addition for Wiltshire Golfers both rounds count towards the new
Wiltshire County Order of Merit.
